Review of brisbane injury lawyers::Do You Pay Taxes on Lawsuit Settlements?

According               to               Reuters,               McDonald's               is               being               forced               to               pay               a               total               of               about               $345               to               a               former               diner               after               she               was               bitten               by               a               large               rat               while               eating               a               meal               at               one               of               the               restaurants               located               in               northeastern               China.

The               incident               happened               last               December.

The               unsuspecting               victim               was               eating               at               McDonald's               when               a               large               rat               climbed               up               her               leg               and               bit               into               her               thigh,               said               Reuters.

Not               only               was               the               unnamed               woman               seeking               physical               injury               compensation,               but               compensation               for               psychological               damage               as               well.

She               now               states               that               the               incident               caused               her               to               become               deathly               afraid               of               rabbits,               white               mice,               and               other               rodents.
The               woman               took               her               case               to               a               local               court               in               Shenyang,               China               and               it               was               heard               in               April.

Initially               she               wanted               about               $2,600               for               the               bite               and               other               damages,               but               the               court               was               able               to               lower               that               due               to               McDonald's               rejection               of               the               high               demands.

Lawyers               for               McDonald's               said               that               the               the               student               lacked               proof               for               what               had               happened.

They               did               not               deny               the               bite,               but               believed               that               the               woman               was               stretching               the               truth               over               how               much               "damage"               was               really               done.

They               also               believed               that               the               woman               was               using               the               incident               to               get               more               money               than               she               should.
In               the               end,               the               Shenyang               court               ruled               that               McDonald's               was               completely               at               fault               for               what               had               happened.

They               did               not               protect               customer               safety               or               maintain               proper               hygiene               at               this               particular               restaurant,               reported               Reuters.

Still,               the               woman               was               upset               for               not               getting               the               $2,600.

Instead               the               court               only               rewarded               her               $345               for               the               bite.
According               to               the               AFP,               in               addition               to               this               specific               incident,               it               is               has               been               one               of               the               numerous               factors               putting               stress               on               the               trade               between               the               United               States               and               China               over               tainted               food               shipments.

Both               countries               have               denied               shipments               from               each               other               over               safety               concerns.

Since               April,               the               United               States               has               denied               257               food               and               products               from               China,               said               the               AFP.
